THE GRAM

Happy Wednesday my little hula hoops. 

Anyone else noticed they are getting smaller and smaller? Outrageous. I’ve a right mind to complain. Bt srsly, the beef flavour. If you know, you know. 

Aside from crisps. I’m here to share with you my outfit and I am going to talk a little about social media. For me it’s a little like the absolute classic RiRi and Ne-Yo song. COS I HATE HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU. Wot a tune. 

Yep, I used to wind myself up over it massively, but not so much anymore. At the end of the day, it doesn’t mean that much in the grand scheme of things, but I do enjoy sharing things via the big world wide web.

Now, lets get to it. 

My favourite social platform, like many others, is Instagram. THE GRAM, Insta, call it what you will, those little squares fill up a lot of my day and sometimes they do my nut in. 

So here’s what frustrates me:

• Follow/Unfollow

A lot of you will know about this, some bloggers or users will follow you, purely for you to follow back, then they unfollow you a day later. It seems like its become a bit of a scheme in order to gain followers, but it just really gets my goat, it PISSES ME OFF. I have about 6 users at the moment who just cannot make up their mind. 

At the end of the day, you either like my feed, or you don’t. Follow me, or get in the bin? Simple.

• 0-100 real quick

People who buy their followers. CAN U NOT. Us lot are out here, posting, engaging, liking and commenting, creating our own little insta circle, playing the game properly and you think you can pick up a chance card, skip straight pass go and collect £200? NOT TODAY.

• WANT FOLLOWERS?

You all know what I’m talking about. Check-my-page-INSTA-ROBOTS. 

I actually found out you can stop this by clicking  settings > comments > switch on “Hide Inappropriate Comments” > then type in some custom keywords you are sick of, mine simply has “check my page” & “want followers”

Haven’t had an issue since. NAILED IT.

• The new slideshow feature

I've used this but I’m not 100%, but what I do know is that, if you have given us the option to post in portrait and landscape ratios for ordinary posts, then don’t restrict us back to squares Instagram. Yes I know that was the original idea, but we’ve moved on haven’t we?

• The algorithm 

Just don't...

• Lastly, I’d like to be able to put a link in my captions plz. 

SO much quicker/easier than #linkinbio and I reckon my engagement and blog visitors would grow. I just don’t want all the people to miss out on my intelligence and wit. Tis a great shame. 

THATS IT. 

For now...

I did plan on delving into twitter and pinterest etc. But I can’t stand long old posts and I know people get bored reading them! 

So I’ll save that for a rainy day.
