INVEST.

Does anyone else see a new trend developing and just think to themselves… WELL. I’m not paying 30 squid for a top when I can borrow Grans old garms, or get that down the charity shop!?

No? Just me?! Most of the time I seem to think I can find a great dupe, a similar item online, or something in oxfam for less than a fiver!

 However, I have come to realise I buy more dupes trying to make up for the real thing, that I end up spending more money and I am never satisfied! Sometimes it is better to just invest.

Don't get me wrong. I’m not going to go to every high street store and buy all items in the new style, pattern or shape. But sometimes when it comes down to a very specific accessory or item. It’s better to just fork out the £20 for a belt, that will probably last you a lot longer than your 50p jobbie. AND it will actually live up to your trend expectation. (Trendspectation?!) 

You will save yourself a lot of frustration when piecing together an outfit and will probably end up wearing it all the time!

Now, I haven’t gone soft. I bloody love a bargain and a lot of the time I will end up liking my affordable item more than the pricey piece. But it doesn't hurt to splurge a little! My most expensive purchase is my Timberlands (which are bloody ruined *sobs* but have lasted A LONG TIME) but I knew I loved them and would get my use out of them. Their cost-per-wear* is probably less than a penny per day now! (slight exaggeration, but you know what I mean!) 

So if you want to buy an item, BUT you're unsure whether to spend the money?! 

These are the things to consider…

1. Have you been thinking about it for a long time? 
2. Can you piece it together with at least 5 items in your wardrobe? 
3. IS IT FABULOUS?!

AND THATS IT! 

My deciding factors for a statement piece investment this season. 

Be savvy and you will end up saving money in the long run!

I bought my Timbs near enough 2 years ago. 

I have probably worn them 200 days out of 365 in a year. 

So 200 x 2 for two years = 400.

£160 original price, divided by 400 = 0.4. 

The timberlands cost me 40p every time I wear them. 

Geddit?
